Hazel's Story

6 months old 44 lb Lab/Pit Mix

Hazel is pure sunshine - gentle, loving, playful, and ready to bring joy into any home. She was surrendered to us after her previous owner left her with a friend and never returned. The friend cared about her deeply but lived in an apartment that didn't allow dogs, so Hazel came to us for a fresh start.

Despite the uncertainty in her young life, Hazel has remained the sweetest little soul. She adores people, loves to cuddle, and has that perfect mix of puppy playfulness and gentle manners. She's easy to fall in love with.

Hazel is fantastic with cats - her previous caretaker shared that she'd even let the cats steal her food without complaint! She also seems to really enjoy other dogs and has shown nothing but friendliness toward them. With her soft personality and loving nature, we see no reason why she wouldn't do wonderfully in a home with children.

Hazel is looking for a family who will cherish her, guide her, and give her the stability she deserves. She's that rare kind of pup who fits right into your heart the moment you meet her.

Steps to Take: Please visit the Rescue website to see all of our available animals If you see an animal you are interested in please submit an adoption application. Once we have received that application we will review it, and call you to schedule an appointment to come and meet our animals! On the application, if you do not have a veterinarian reference, please consider one you may be using. Adoption visits may or may not happen on the same day. Adoption approval may take a few days. On the Day of Adoption: If you are adopting a dog, please bring a carrier and/or leash and collar with you to pick up your pet. If you are adopting a cat, you will be required to bring a carrier. Animals are not deemed adopted until all paperwork has been processed, fees paid, and the animal is released. Adoption Fees Cover the Following: Up to date shots/vaccinations for the pet's age Deworming Heartworm test (dogs over 6 months) FIV/FeLeuk test (cats) Petlink Microchip Spay/Neuter Includes free vet exam within 2 weeks after adoption. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoption.
