Hazel's Story

Meet Hazel, the definition of a laid back queen. She arrived here through no fault of her own. Her former owner’s health took a turn, and they made the heartbreaking choice to bring Hazel somewhere she could continue getting the care and attention she deserves. You can tell this girl was cherished because she carries herself with that steady, gentle confidence that only comes from being loved.

Hazel is a pro at the art of relaxing. If lounging was an Olympic sport, she’d be bringing home the gold. Her favorite hobby is stretching out on a soft sofa with her paws pointed in every direction like she owns the place which she fully believes she does. She enjoys the simple things a quiet room, a warm blanket, and a person who doesn’t mind sharing their couch real estate.

She has a naturally calm personality and doesn’t mind other dogs hanging around. Hazel is the type of dog who could fit into almost any family. She’s sweet, well mannered, and brings a peaceful energy wherever she goes. No drama. No chaos. Just comfort and companionship wrapped up in one perfect girl.
If you’ve been hoping for a gentle buddy to add warmth to your home, Hazel would love to meet you. Stop by during open hours and let her show you how easy she is to fall in love with.

Hazel weighs 50 pounds at four years old. She has been vaccinated, treated for internal/external parasites and has tested negative for heartworm disease at the shelter.
