Hazel's Story

Meet Hazel!

Hazel is a 1.5-year-old female Beagle who weighs about 30 pounds and is fully grown. Just like her brother Huck, she has that lovable Beagle charm, but Hazel really stands out for her calm, gentle, and affectionate nature.

Hazel is dog-friendly, and she would love a home with another dog for companionship. She doesn’t love being alone and does best when she has a furry friend nearby. Her foster mom says Hazel is truly one of her easiest fosters ever — a total dream dog.

She’s currently fostered in an apartment and does wonderfully with that setup. Hazel is crate trained, potty trained, great on a leash, and well-mannered in public. She adapts easily to daily routines and settles in beautifully.

One of Hazel’s favorite things is snuggling up on the couch. She’s happiest curled beside her person and will quietly snooze while her foster mom works from home, making her an ideal companion for someone with a similar lifestyle.

Hazel is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She does have one final booster vaccine that is fully covered by our rescue. Hazel can be adopted prior to that appointment as long as her adopters are able to get her to her final scheduled visit.

If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, loving, and loyal best friend who fits seamlessly into everyday life, Hazel could be the perfect addition to your home. 💕

Apply to adopt on our website:

BridgeBetweenAnimalRescue.org/adopt

The Bridge Between Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
We require approved applications before potential adopters can meet any of our pets, (unless we are at a public event with adoptable animals). Our adoption process is as follows: the first step is to submit an application on our website in the "adopt" tab. Then we will need to receive any veterinary records for current or previous pets. Once those are received, we reach out to references, and then set up a home visit and meet and greet for the pet the potential adopter is interested in.
