Hazel's Story
In rescue, we have a name for a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog. We call them a “Disney Dog.”

What’s a Disney Dog? ✨

It’s the dog every family dreams about but rarely finds. The one who loves other dogs. The one who is gentle with cats. The one who is patient and sweet with kids. The one who crates without a fuss, is perfectly housebroken, and carries no baggage from her past. The one who plays with joy… and then melts into you for the softest snuggles when the day winds down.

Hazel is that dog.

She’s the fairytale pup who somehow ended up in rescue instead of already curled up on someone’s couch. She has the heart, the manners, the temperament — all she’s missing is a family to call her own.

After everything she’s been through, she doesn’t just want a forever home… she deserves one. A warm bed. A yard to play in. A family who will look at her and say, “You’re ours.”

Can we make Hazel’s happily-ever-after come true?

This Disney Dog is waiting for her story to begin. 💛

If you are interested in this dog The first step is to go to our website and fill out an application. https://placingpawsrescue.org/applications/dog-application/

ADOPTION FEE: $400.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
