Hazel's Story
Hazel is 2-4 years old and 33 pounds. Hazel is on the shy side, but gains lots of confidence when around another dog, which is not surprising after living with 177 other dogs! Hazel would do best in a home with another playful doggy sibling to help ease her into the world she's missed out on. Hazel will do best in a home with patient teens or no children. She is a very sweet dog who will be a cuddly, lovable best friend once she settles into her new home. Hazel is heartworm positive and can only be adopted by a Vermont resident. We cover the treatment at our vet in Rutland.
Update 3/5- Hazel is making huge strides in gaining confidence when one-on-one with a person. She is walking on a leash and eager to meet new people. She is still a little shy, but has really come out of her shell. She is going to adjust much faster to her furever home than we had originally thought.

Adoption fee-$150, as a kind donor has covered $100 of her normal fee of $250.
