Hazel's Story

Hazel, our 53 lb. Black Mouth Cur, is only a year old, but she is so calm and laid back, she seems like she could be older. She rarely barks and seems to go with the flow.

She was brought in as a stray to our sister organization in the middle of the night and after being vetted, evaluated and loved on, we picked her up and brought her to STAF and now she is all ready to be adopted.

Hazel is truly one of the sweetest dogs imaginable. And she actually has a great smile. She already has doggie friends and she hangs out with them in the outside play area. She is also great on a leash.

If you think Hazel may be the one for you, please let us know!

Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process and our adoption application.

*** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***

• All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
• We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
• You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
• Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
• We do request vet and personal references.
• We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
