Hazel's Story
**03/29/26 - Hazel is still ready and waiting!
Hazel has had sooooo much growth since we separated her from her sister. She is turning into a slow burn and cuddle bug.
When we first got Hazel and her sister, Gia, they were feral little beasties, and now this little diva is living the sweater spoiled chi life! 👑💁♀️ She used to hide and watch from afar, now she cuddles and loves a good sling snuggle 🥰 🥰 🥰
She has been able to be potty pad trained, and is working on her fear of the outdoors. Hazel would do best in a house with another calm dog that she can learn from, and needs a family with patience. She can take weeks to warm up, but once she does, you can see in her eyes that she loves and appreciates you!
Interested in Hazel, fill out an application at www.aychihuahuarescue.org/adopt

**02/07/26 - Meet Hazel!
Hazel is feral baby number 2. She comes to us with Gia from South Texas. She is 7 years old and 6.5 lbs. Like her sister, she came in co-dependent and feral. After being separated from her sister, and put into a foster home with confident fur siblings. Hazel can get scared and nippy if cornered and can fear pee when she's feeling insecure when approached.
She will follow her human around, but like a true creeper, she will run away if you look at her following you. She's such a stalker queen 👑. But when Hazel is napping in her bed, she will cautiously welcome pets and scratches. She will even allow you to pick her up without dribbling pee.
Once you have sweet Hazel in your arms, she will start to melt and cuddle. She even loves to be carried around in her foster Mama's sling.
Hazel has even started to potty outside by following her foster siblings and learning from them. So she will need a house with at least one more confident pup she can continue to learn from.
Interested in adopting Hazel, fill out an application at www.aychihuahuarescue.org/adopt

**01/22/26 - New intake from the Valley, 7 yrs. 6.5 lbs
