Haze's Story
Sweet boy HAZE has had an amazing glow up - and now he's always winking at you! Now all he needs is a forever home.

Haze is about 7 years old and now weighs 50lbs. Haze is missing an eye, and although this is what makes him labeled "special needs" it really does not affect his life at all. Haze still runs and plays as any healthy dog does. Really, this is his "special charm" <3 Haze has an amazing personality and is such a social butterfly with all humans and other dogs. He is a very good boy, well behaved in the home, house broken, and crate trained. Haze is so affectionate, lovingly in tune with his caregivers! He is always so happy for pets and loves a good belly rub. Haze loves affection, whether giving or receiving - and this boy has so much love to give! He looks up at you with his gorgeous face filled with adoration and makes a wonderful companion.

Haze's Story: Sadly, Haze was found as an emaciated stray in early November 2024, weighing almost half his ideal weight and too weak to stand. Haze was known as Buck 213793 at the city shelter and thankfully, grew much stronger with regular meals. A mere month later, however, it didn't matter that Haze was healthy, he was slated for euthanasia anyways. Because of kind fosters, we were able to rescue Haze, and he has been doing amazing in their care since then. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, Haze got a small injury to his face and by extremely bad luck With lots of love and new foster siblings to play with, Haze is just the sweetest boy. Haze is well behaved but can get VERY excited for treats and may forget his manners when taking them (but hey, can you blame him after being so starved just a few months ago?). Haze is fully vetted, at a healthy weight, neutered, micro chipped and ready for his forever home!

If you can open your heart & home to dear Haze, please contact AmsterDog by call/text at 917-689-8414 or by email at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt Haze at AmsterDog.org.

Thanks for caring about a pet in need!
