HAWTHORN's Story

Meet Hawthorn, a stunning, 3-year-old sable German Shepherd ready to find his forever home. When Hawthorn first arrived at the shelter, he was timid and unsure in his new surroundings. With patience and regular outings, he’s transformed into a confident, affectionate companion who loves spending time with people.
Hawthorn loves going on walks and would make a great walking or jogging buddy. He can be a strong puller on leash, likely due to his abundance of energy from shelter life, but enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending quality time with people. In the play yard, he delights in chasing balls (though he’s still working on bringing them back) and romping around freely.
His sweet nature shines through when he leans in for affection or sits politely for treats, always taking them gently. He’s sociable with other dogs in playgroups and may do well in a home with another canine companion; however, we recommend slow introductions over several days to ensure a successful transition.
If you’re looking for a loyal friend who is eager for adventure and plenty of affection, consider welcoming Hawthorn into your family

Hawthorn has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home.
