ï ̧ WANTED: A HUMAN (OR TWO) FOR A TINY DICTATOR ï ̧<br/>Are you experienced in the delicate art of being completely managed by an 8-lb Chihuahua with strong opinions and absolutely no interest in compromise?<br/>Excellent.<br/>Your future boss is accepting applications.<br/>This approximately 10-year-old pocket-sized queen is looking for a person—or couple—who understands that senior Chihuahuas do not retire.<br/>They simply move into management.<br/>Your responsibilities will include:<br/>• Providing snacks promptly and without unnecessary bureaucracy• Offering affection when requested• Respecting her personal space when she is feeling spicy• Understanding that treats are not bribery—they are diplomacy• Accepting that she will absolutely have opinions about how you run the household<br/>Let’s review the non-negotiables:<br/>No kids No other petsâœ... Chihuahua-savvy humans preferredâœ... Patience requiredâœ... Sense of humor strongly recommended<br/>She is not looking to share the spotlight, the couch, the snacks, or her people with another animal.<br/>Competition will not be tolerated.<br/>She is spayed and recently had a hernia repaired. She does still have one very small hernia that was not repaired because of its size and may need monitoring or treatment in the future.<br/>What does she offer in return?<br/>A ridiculous amount of personality packed into eight pounds.<br/>She is funny, opinionated, food-motivated, deeply entertaining, and fully prepared to assume control of your home within 3–5 business days.<br/>She will likely need some time to settle in, trust you, and gradually lower the spice level—but for the right person, that is part of the charm.<br/>She is currently being fostered in Sacramento, California, and foster-to-adopt is an option for applicants who would like to ease into their new employment arrangement.<br/>Think you have what it takes to serve a spicy senior Chihuahua?<br/>Send us an email:<br/>beourpet@gmail.com<br/>Serious applicants only.<br/>She has standards.<br/><br/>GENERAL INFO:<br/>Housebroken?: Yes, we think so<br/>Crate Trained?: Yes<br/>Leash Trained?: Yes<br/>Rides Well in Car?: Yes<br/>Non-Shedding?: No but low shed<br/>Good with cats?: Yes, we think so<br/>Good with dogs?: Yes<br/>Qualifies for Seniors for Seniors?: yes<br/>Umbrella of Hope does not have any strict rules on ages of children because all children are different, but our best approximation is that this animal would do best with children over the age of 12<br/>Umbrella of Hope is an all-volunteer, donation-run, non-profit animal rescue based out of Pittsburg, CA that rescues animals from local shelters, places them in private foster homes, provides them with needed medical care and then finds them new homes.<br/>Also, ask us about our seniors for seniors program, where we adopt animals 5 years or older to qualified homes with a $5 donation as an adoption fee. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites and given any additional treatments (dental work, bloodwork etc) as recommended by our vet.<br/>Adoptions to veterans of the US Armed Services are ALWAYS free to thank you for your service.<br/>We thank Well Pet Vet Clinic for providing most of our veterinary services and give a special thanks to volunteer photographers Tanya, Barbara, Kristy, Christine, Teressa and Natalie.
