Havana's Story
Havana is about 1 year old and weighs approximately 50 pounds. Beautiful Havana Banana was found as a stray, with horribly cropped ears (most likely from an amateur at-home crop job) and a horrible infection. Unfortunately, even with the best vet care at animal control, it was too late to save her hearing. At just about 1 year old, Havana does NOT let her poor previous treatment by humans affect her in the slightest -as she is the wiggliest, happiest, and funniest litte girl. She is short and squat, like a little bowling ball of love. Oh! And she is smart too! She is starting to work hard learning everything she needs to know as a new member of the deaf dog community. As everyone knows, Deaf Dogs Rock and Havana is no exception! We are so excited to help her in this next leg of her journey in finding a forever family of her very own. Right now, she would prefer to have humans all to herself, without worrying about other animals sneaking up on her, but this is something we will start to work on.
The adoption donation for Havana is $250. This donation helps to cover veterinary expenses including spay/neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Her new family will be provided deaf dog support throughout the transition and for as long as needed.

Wish Upon a Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster based animal rescue. If you would like to meet Havana, please complete our adoption questionnaire at www.wishuponarescue.org/adopt. We will review your responses and be in contact to schedule a meet and greet at a time and place convenient for your family and our team members
