Harvey

Harvey is a one year old, 40 pound, black, neutered, Caniche Poodle mix - larger than a Toy Poodle but smaller than a Standard Poodle. These dogs require a lot of stimulation. They grow for 1 1/2 years and are pups for 2 1/2 years. They can be escape artists and open gates, latches and deadbolts with their teeth. Harvey has already shown his proficiency at opening latches! He is a very sweet, nice dog - a wonderful dog! He is crate trained and appears to be housebroken. He loves to play with toys so he would need toys in his adoptive home. He has lots of energy. He would like to be a lap dog. During his temperament test, he did well except when the tester tagged him - hitting him to start to play. This probably was frightening to him if no one had ever done that to him in his prior home - or if he was hit in his prior home. At any rate, we will not place him in a home with children.
