Harry's Story

Harry is a 3-year-old, 12-lb American Hairless Terrier with a heart as big as his personality. This silly, sweet boy was found as a stray with no microchip or ID and was never reclaimed from animal control. Now he’s ready for a forever home where he can finally settle in and be loved the way he deserves.

Harry truly loves everyone. He can be a little nervous when first meeting new people, but he warms up quickly, and once he does, he won’t want to leave your side. He has a nice balance of energy and calm: he enjoys playtime and walks, but he’s also perfectly happy cuddling on the couch with his favorite human (or humans!).

He walks fairly well on a leash and does great with both dogs and cats. In fact, Harry REQUIRES a home with another dog, as he really thrives with canine companionship.

Because Harry can get mouthy when he’s excited and playful, we don’t think he’d be a good fit for a home with young children. We are actively working on teaching him gentler play, and he’s making progress, but an adult or older-teen household would be best.

He is crate-trained and working on house-training.

If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will make you laugh, keep you company, and love you endlessly—especially if you already have a dog—Harry just might be your perfect match.

To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
His adoption fee of $500 includes his neuter, shots up-to-date, microchipping, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.
