Mom is large at 80 pounds and we don't know who dad was.

Mom delivered the babies on the ground in Eastern, WA. Quickly picked up and rushed over the mountain to a temporary foster home. I caught up with them two days later and brought them into rescue. Mom delivered 12, but I picked up 10 and one passed as we arrived at the rescue. Nine are thriving and doing well and a few have already been adopted.

Harrison has been listed before. But well in foster care a moment changed everything. He was fine one moment and down and unable to walk the next. We were lucky enough to get a vet visit and the vet really struggled with this one. Finally decided on Meningitis. Sent us home with a bunch of meds and prayers. The first few days were really hard. He was barely walking. We would make him go outside to go potty, inside to be watched and then kenneled at night for his safety. After a few days we got improvement. Then more and more. Until he was strong enough to be sent back out to play with the other puppies. The doctor kept him on the meds. But he has finished his last dose and is doing really well. He is now cleared for adoption.

Some corks about Harrison. He has really long legs and with the Meningitis the lasting effect of a wobble when he walks will always be there. Sometimes his head bobbles. It's cute. He enters a room like a bull in a china shop. Just expect it, there is nothing graceful about him. This week he has learned how to walk on a leash. Do NOT use a collar, he must be in a harness or he screams like a baboon. I will send his harness with him. Once the whole no collar and yes harness thing was figured out and I got my hearing back, we took a walk. He actually walks pretty well on a leash. He is kennel trained. Once in a while you have to tell him to settle down. But at bedtime he always runs to it. He eats dinner in one. He wants to be near you, on your lap or under your feet. Harrison will be a big boy.

This boy is such an amazing dog.

Harrison has been fostered in a home with other dogs and cats, has done fine with everyone he meets.

Harrison is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He is seven months old. Born end of December 2024

If you are interested in meeting Harrison, you will need to travel to Centralia/Rochester, WA.

Harrison's adoption fee is $300.

An approved application and an appointment is required.

If interested in meeting Harrison, please submit an application by copying/pasting this link into your browser:

https://rescueaware.com/application.asp?c=12001
