Harrigan's Story

Meet Harrigan, the goofy, lovable boy who's spent far too many days waiting for his forever home. Since May, he's only had about 20 days outside the shelter, and we can't understand why he's still here. Harrigan shows signs of being potty trained, knows "sit," "down," "place," and "come," and walks beautifully on leash with a Good Dog Collar. He's treat- and toy-motivated (hot dogs are his love language!) and eager to learn, making training fun and rewarding.

Harrigan is a joyful, playful dog who just wants to be someone's best friend. He recently had a meet-and-greet with two potential adopters and did great-he got excited, jumped once, then corrected himself right away because he knows his manners. He may have some mild handling sensitivity around his neck, but with a treat scatter and calm reinforcement, he allows the Good Dog Collar, safety clip, and leash to be placed without issue. He's never met a cat, and slow introductions with other animals are advised; he tends to prefer easygoing female dog friends.

If you're ready for a loyal companion who will shred plush toys, make you laugh daily, and love you with his whole goofy heart, Harrigan might be your perfect match. He's affectionate, eager to please, and so ready for a stable home where he can finally settle in. Don't keep this sweet boy waiting!

All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed-just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati!

To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1-6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it's a perfect match.
For more info: https://cincinnatianimalcare.org/adopt/adoptable-details/?method=AdoptableDetails&animalID=58457832

Sheltered Paws is providing this pup with a leash, collar, durable chew toy, snacks and a rebate certificate good for a training class.
