Harriet 's Story

Harriet is a very special girl who will require someone very dog savvy. She was running around a month all around Tampa from the cemetery off MLK, over 10 miles to Seminole heights, then to forest hills for 3+ weeks. With the help of the community our rescue finally caught her with a net.

She was rightfully so, fearful for a week or so lunging and trying to bite. After she knew she was safe she became the sweetest dog. She still takes time to adjust to new people. She attached to her foster mom very quickly and that’s the only person she seems to want attention from but she’ll love on other people if foster mom is around. Ideally looking for someone who’s always home as Harriet suffers from extreme anxiety to the point she will destroy doors/her crate. She is crated when not supervised and does very well in it.

will always be a flight risk so no off leash or being left in a backyard alone. No kids, she’s great with other easy going dogs, likes cats, men scare her but she gets use to them. She loves female energy and someone who doesn’t go out much.

She’s a huge cuddle bug. She has cherry eyes in both eyes we are looking for a vet to try and correct for her since drops haven’t helped.

Contact Rags to Riches Animal Rescue inc 813-695-5473 to complete your application AND virtual home check.
