Harley's Story

At 4 years in age, Harley is still just a big ‘ol puppy. Looks wise he appears to be a hound, possibly Shepherd, mix, but he’s definitely not your “everyday” mixture. Harley is a playful, kind, shy dog. Most likely he received inconsistent interaction from whomever had him as a puppy and then, as he grew (As we all do), he was dumped and had no idea what to do with himself as he wandered.

Harley is looking for an adopter to be his person. He likes connection and would love to be an important part of someone’s life. He needs a yard or acreage where he can enjoy activities all throughout the day with his human partner. We suspect that Harley is the kind of guy that will take kindly to road trips, to our countries National Parks, in something like an SUV 4x4.

He’s shy but when he makes a connection, he loves you more than anyone will ever love you. If you, or if you know anybody looking for a Harley breed, please reach out to us at the Newport Beach Animal Shelter (949-718-3454 or aco@nbpd.org) and we’ll take the lead from there.
