Harley's Story
Harley is the kind of dog who makes life feel a little easier. At 2 to 3 years old and around 40 pounds, she is an easygoing, intelligent girl who has become a steadfast favorite among our staff and volunteers.

Harley is happiest when she is spending time with her people. She loves to play, have a good time, and show off her silly side, but she is equally happy to settle in beside you for some quiet time and a good round of pets. She is affectionate without being demanding and has a wonderful way of making herself right at home.

Harley is also a big fan of treats and has perfected the art of looking completely adorable when she thinks one might be coming her way. She is eager to please, easy to handle, and simply a really lovely dog to have around.

Whether you are looking for a walking buddy, a playmate, a couch companion, or just a sweet friend to share your days with, Harley is ready. She has been a wonderful companion to everyone who knows her here, and now she is hoping to become that same kind of companion to her forever family.

*Reminder* We are currently facilitating adoptions through appointment only. If you arrive at the shelter without an appointment to meet a dog, we may not be able to assist you.

Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about this dog, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability.
