Harley

This sweet, shy girl is named Harley. We were contacted for help with her and her five puppies. The puppies were already almost 9 months old, and pretty unsocialized. We found a rescue partner for the two female puppies. Now we're working on Mama Harley, and hope to get to the boys soon. Harley is shy around new people at first, but warms up quickly, especially if you crouch down or sit on the floor. While we're at the vet when these pictures and videos were taken, I sat on the floor with her for probably 10 minutes brushing her and by the time we were done, she was smitten. She's a tiny girl at only about 31 pounds, sugar sweet. She was pretty scared at the vet with everyone towering over her and reaching for her, so they did muzzle her. Once the owners and myself left the room, they said she calmed down quite a bit and they were able to draw blood and give her her vaccine. She just needs someone kind and patient to work with her and show her that everything unfamiliar is not scary. She's lived in a crate much of her life. There are a lot of dogs at her residence, all intact until they contacted us, and her people were just trying to keep everyone from reproducing. Obviously, with limited success. I would love to get this girl into a rescue partner, or find her the perfect new home. I think she's about one and a half maybe 2 years old. She's already had her first vaccines, heartworm test, and bordatella. When she gets spayed mid July, we will microchip her. If you'd like to know more about Harley, please reach out.
