Harkin's Story

Meet Harkin! The first several few months of little Harkin's life were ROUGH! His mom, Helly, was picked up as a stray in a pretty rural area of Georgia. Shelter staff learned she had belonged to a homeless woman and that she had recently had puppies. Volunteers were able to locate the woman and she agreed to surrender the puppies, but when the time came to pick up the puppies she had moved camp and taken them with her. Several months went by with no sign of them until the woman was recently arrested on felony drug charges. Sadly, only Harkin was recovered. We still don't know what happened to the puppies. But Harkin is safe and will never have to worry again. And he was able to be reunited with his mom Helly (also available for adoption) for a sweet sweet reunion!

Harkin is about 6 months old and around 25 lbs. He's definitely calm for his age but still a puppy for sure. Harkin has been doing great settling into his new foster home and meeting all kinds of new friends. Now he can't wait to meet his very own forever family and never have to worry about living in a homeless camp again!

Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website - www.rmgdogs.org

PLEASE NOTE: RMG requires an adult dog in the home for all puppy adoptions

Rescue Me Ga Inc's Adoption Policy
We have an application process that we require for any adoption. The application can be found on our website at www.rmgdogs.org - its the first step in our process and required before we set up a time for you to meet the dog you are interested in …. ALL of our dogs are completely vetted - all vaccines - spay or neuter - dewormings - chip - heart worm tested and treated if needed and ready to be loved. WE are foster based which means our dogs are in homes or temporary boarding when we rescue them -- we know their personalities and what would be their best fit! Our dogs come from a rural Georgia shelter and often we take in surrenders from families facing difficult situations….. WE do post many dogs still in need at animal control as well as all who have been saved already that are in foster homes. We do NOT operate a facility where you can visit the dogs unless you contact us to possibly meet one already in a foster
