Hardy Belgian Shepherd / Malinois Mix Woburn, MA

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Hardy - a gorgeous 10-11 month old Belgian Malinois mix gal who currently weighs 70 pounds. She was an owner surrendered dog in Tennessee. She has been very well loved and cared for, but her owners couldn’t keep her anymore. Their life changed and a small camper isn’t enough space for Hardy and a new born baby (though she has been fantastic around the baby).

Her foster shares "This girl is super friendly and outgoing! She is so social and happy all the time. She enjoys playing with other dogs and is good with cats too. She needs a lot of attention and a confident, experienced owner. One that loves the breed and has the desire to do some training so this beautiful girl can shine! She is doing very well adjusting to being housebroken and chooses to go outside for the bathroom - so she might just need a small adjustment period. She does great meeting new people and loves kids - we would just suggest older kids due to her large size. She is doing well learning her leash skills and is good in her crate too. All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
