Hardy's Story

LAFM Hardy, a former backyard dog turned bed hog is still patiently waiting for his forever home. Hardy has been with us for almost a year now.

Hardy has come a long way from the scared dog many of us saw in the shelter - he is curious and brave, exploring new things and people cautiously. He has strong boundaries and prefers to come into your space, rather than you come into his - until he trusts you then he’s a love bug!

He loves bones, watching the world through a screen door, being near his human, playing tug or fetch with his toys inside and putting himself in his crate when he’s all done interacting with people. A real introvert.

Hardy currently knows the commands “go” (for his crate), sit” & “shake”, will sometimes speak and is really learning what “leave it” means! He walks kindly on a leash, is currently being muzzle trained and is used to apartment life / spending 8 hours a day in his crate. A commitment to continuing crate usage is required.

Hardy is very much a threenager and loves to play and talk back with a sweet little howl. He is crate trained, house trained and can settle into place terrifically! Boy is allergic to ?.

Would be the happiest in a calm, child free home. No cats. Small dogs welcome ? Large dogs welcome with SLOW introductions.Hardy will need a home that will continue training with him and be patient as he adjusts and decompresses in a new home as he learns to trust new people.

?? ?? ?? ?? ?? - Foster Mom, Kendra
.
.
.
?If you’re interested in meeting this guy, please submit an adoption application on our website www.LoveAtFirstMutt.org

If you’re interested in learning more about Hardy please submit an adoption application on our website www.LoveAtFirstMutt.Org
