Happy's Story

Prairie Pooches Rescue has the sweetest Happy available for adoption. Here is what his foster momma has to say:

Happy!
Big smiley goofball!
Loves his humans more than anything!! Will even choose people over food!
He prefers his people over dogs. I have yet to see him play with any of my dogs. That being said he’s not mean to the other dogs. He just doesn’t seek them out to play. He adores every ounce of attention that is given. If you even say the word ā€œhappyā€ in a conversation in another room, he hears it and thinks you’ve called him! Hahaha
Happy is working on his kennel training. Even though he is trying really hard, he just hasn’t figured out that the kennel is an ok place to be. Happy hasn’t messed in the house, he is let out periodically and goes right out to do his business. He doesn’t waste any time before he’s racing back to the door to be let in. Happy is good with cats, and he doesn’t pay any attention to livestock. The only thing I’ve found that gets under his skin is our yard goat Leroy! Leroy has to make sure that Happy knows that he is the boss so he’s constantly being superior to him. Happy does his best to just avoid the goat at all costs ?
Happy is working on sit, and lay down. He loves any dog bed and thinks it is his and will not hesitate to jump on the couch if he is invited.
Happy is very food motivated.
No drop of food will go unnoticed, making for very clean floors ?

Happy LOVES kids! Cuddles and hugs and kisses. It’s like he was made for it all!

If you’re looking for your best friend that you just haven’t found yet, look no further! Happy is your dog!

Prairie Pooches Rescue is a volunteer and foster based rescue. All our dogs are in foster homes and approved adopters are required to meet the dogs at the foster homes.

Adoption fee is $300. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinations UTD, dewormed and microchipped. Adoption applications and home visits are done for all adoptions. Please fill out an application if interested on our website www.prairiepoochesrescue.com

****Due to an overwhelming amount of emails and phone calls we receive we will only respond to ones that have an application attached. Thank you****
