Never would you know he was left to rot away under the guise of a smooth-talking, excuse-making "trainer-foster," who lured us into a false sense of calm that our sweet Nathan was being trained and cared for while awaiting an adopter.<br/><br/><p data-start="576" data-end="1020">To our horror, upon his eviction, we discovered we had been duped into believing our sweet boy was in the best hands, making strides, and living his best life on a rural Jersey farm. But our "trainer-foster" had spiraled in his personal life and thoroughly neglected Nathan under his care. Our boy had been caged and fed, but nothing more. When we got him back he was so skinny with caked-on filth, confused, disoriented, and weary of humans.<br/><br/><p data-start="1022" data-end="1309">I bought into every update. Every fabrication. Every text. Every lie. I believed my "friend" and all his excuses for why Nathan couldn't attend Adoption Events and why all applicants "werent" a fit for a meet and greet. I trusted him to know better than me because he was a "trainer."<br/><br/><p data-start="1311" data-end="1393">I have promised Nathan we will make this right.
