Happy's Story

Hi, I'm Happy, and I truly live up to my name. I'm completely housebroken and have a wonderful mix of playful energy and calm cuddles. I love walks, tug of war, running at the dog park, lounging in the sun, and most of all, being close to my people. I'm a big lap dog who will happily lean into you or curl up nearby for snuggles.

I'm very playful and friendly with other dogs of all sizes. I can get excited by small animals on walks and I'm a strong guy, but otherwise I walk nicely at your pace and respond well to cues. I'm smart, pick up on routines quickly, and understand what belongs to me. A simple reminder is all I need if I take interest in something I shouldn't.

I can be shy at first and it takes me about a week to fully adjust to a new home. I'm protective of my family, so meeting new people on neutral ground works best. Loud noises and busy roads can make me nervous, and I appreciate having a quiet place to retreat.

I would do best in a home without small children or small animals, simply because I sometimes forget how big I am. With a loving family, a steady routine, and plenty of cuddles, I'll be the most loyal, sweet, and devoted companion you could ask for.

I also qualify for Welcome Trial, which means you can take me home for up to 14 days to make sure I'm the perfect fit before making things official.

Love,
Happy ...
