Happy is a petite, sweet, spicy, and sensitive soul, eagerly awaiting her "Happy ever after" home! <br/><br/>A great catch for a family seeking a calm, mature, and kid-loving canine companion, Happy is trained for all obedience and is social with dogs and cats. We will seek a good match for Happy as far as dogs go; if you're applying and have an existing dog, only homes with male dogs will be eligible (unless you are interested in adopting Happy and have no pets at all). We enrolled Happy in our training program to boost her confidence and address a couple of bad habits she had developed after her prior owner passed away, but now Happy is crate trained, walks nicely on leash, knows how to respect food and toys, and is an all-around easy keeper. Although it was the passing of her owner that landed Happy in the rescue community, she has benefited a great deal from the structure and training at Hope2K9. Happy is approximately 6 or 7 years old, and she can be a queen bee of sorts, but after living with a large pack for many years she is definitely a lady who prefers companionship.
