Hansen's Story

Meet Hansen: The Couch-Loving Cuddle Champion

Hansen is a laid-back, smiley guy who's mastered the art of the good life—and that life revolves around couch cuddles and belly scratches.

This sweet, easygoing boy (estimated 2-3 years old) loves dogs and is calm around cats. He's social enough to play and hang with the pack, but here's the thing: after a few minutes of playtime, he politely excuses himself because he's got important cuddle business to attend to. No guilt trips—just "thanks for the fun, now belly rubs please."

Hansen is soft as can be and has the sweetest baby seal energy—deceptively smol for a 50-lb guy. He's learning house manners and does great with a potty schedule (he needs breaks every 3-4 hours). He's crate-trained, and he has a hilarious quirk: he genuinely believes there's treasure at the bottom of his plastic crate and will dig away at it with full conviction. He's also in the early stages of learning to sit for treats—a work in progress that makes for sweet training moments.

He's been in a work-from-home environment with constant company, so he hasn't spent extended time alone. Adopters should be prepared that he may need a gradual adjustment period or may do best in a home where he's not left solo for long stretches.

*Perfect for:* Families with kids or other dogs, someone who works from home or has flexible schedules, anyone ready to give this gentle seal-pup all the couch space he deserves.
