Hank - (Hazel pup) 's Story
Momma Hazel and her 5 six week old puppies were rescued in December 2025. Poor Hazel was owned by someone who didn’t have her spayed and lived in a rural area of middle Tennessee in Westmorelamd. Her owner went to jail and the other person in the household just threw Hazel outside in a cold car port with no protection from cold wind. Just a blanket and a puppy dog pen that is meant to be used inside. Poor Hazel and pups were put outside right as the weather was turning freezing. Lifehouse was over full so a nice lady in Gallatin took them inside for 4 days while the temps got down into the low 20’s. Finally one of the Lifehouse Directors heated her garage and set up an area for the 5 pups and a nice area for Momma to have her own area and a way to be with them while also able to nurse her pups. She only nursed them another week and was pretty much done as they turned 7 weeks. She was so thankful to be rescued. Her pups were all named “H” names so we have Hank, Hayden, Hayley, Hannah and Holly. Hank was the black one and got adopted by his foster. Hayden and Hayley are brindle and moved to a foster together in Portland, TN. Holly and Hannah stayed with Hazel in Mt. Juliet but were adopted quickly within a week. They were mainly white with spots.

The pups are so friendly and socialized. They are ready for their forever homes!

The adoption fee is $400 which covers the neuter, rabies, Bordetella, 4 parvo/distemper vaccines, 2 Lepto vaccines, several rounds of deworming, microchip, and a heartworm test.

To apply go to our main page and click on the adoption application.
