Hank - Foster Home's Story

TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR HANK! FOSTER HOME OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED ASAP HIS TIME IS UP DECEMBER 1 !! Buster does not have any foster home openings at this time, as such, Hank is a courtesy listing. As such, Buster cannot guarantee the temperament or health of Hank.

Hank is desperately in need of a new home. His owner was transferred to northern Alaska and could not take him. He is currently being boarded by his owner's parents (they are not allowed pitbulls where they live).

Per his owner's parents: Hank is 5 years old, neutered, friendly, good tempered, and not aggressive (which has been verified in writing by both his current kennel and the one we most often took him when we were away). He desperately wants a home with someone who loves him and appreciates him.

Hank has some nice habits such as trimming his own nails and only doing his business in the tall grass. He loves to chase Frisbees or even chunks of firewood. Our son used to take him to pulling competitions when he lived in the Michigan upper peninsula. Hank enjoys pulling his tire around in the yard. It also helps him work off a little energy. He's well trained, personable, energetic, loving, friendly and smart. (You can probably tell that we love him and wish he could stay with us).

Our most frequently used kennel owners tell us he gets along well with other dogs when introduced properly. Lastly, he gets along well with children. We have 3 grandchildren aged 6 to 12 who play with him regularly and even sleep with him on occasion. Friends would also verify that he is good tempered, if somewhat over exuberant.

We've been paying to board him since late August rather than having him euthanized, but have finally acknowledged the fact that we can not do this forever. We’ve set Thanksgiving as an end date if we can’t find him a good home. Our only stipulation is that we do not want him placed with anyone who wants to use him for fighting or as a guard dog.

He would do well as a family dog and would probably be a good match for a sporting dog enthusiast. He comes from a breeder near Farmer City, IL, and is registered.

If you are interested in adopting Hank, email us ASAP at ContactBuster@yahoo.com. Our adoption application must be completed before we will set up a time to meet Hank.
