Hank's Story

Hank (also answering to Hanky Panky when he feels like it) is a large 4 year old Husky mix with an independent personality. Some people really appreciate a dog who enjoys company without needing constant attention, and that is very much Hank. He is not a big, over the top cuddle bug. He is more of an "I'll come by for a few pats and then go hang out nearby" kind of guy. He enjoys keeping his people within view, relaxing in a shared space and occasionally making sure everything is in order from a distance.

At first glance, Hank looks like the kind of boy who would want to be outside all the time, but the cozy indoor life is growing on him.. More often than not, Hank would rather curl up for a warm nap than brave the cold. We don't know too much about Hanks past, so there is a chance living inside is new to him. If that's the case, a patient home willing to help him settle in and build a routine would be the best fit. 🏡

That said, Hank does enjoy his walks and adventures when he's in the mood, and car rides have quickly earned a spot on his favorites list. And when excitement takes over Hank, he makes sure everyone knows by letting out his signature WOOO 🎶 that staff have come to know and love.

Hank has made a few doggie pals at the shelter but can be selective, more so with other male dogs. With the right match and proper introductions, a canine family member could be an option.

Hanky Panky is ready to leave shelter life behind and find his people. If you are Interested in this charming boy, we would love to hear from you!
