Meet Hank

Hank is a young, playful, loving, goofy Pure bred Black Lab. He's about 2 years old. Hank was owner surrendered due to a change in housing. Hank gets along with other dogs at playtime, but he should be the only dog in the house because he becomes protective of his humans and tries to keep other dogs in the house away from them. This is a new behavior for Hank and we don't know why he does this. Hank would do great in a house with kids or with a couple or single person, as long as he gets adequate exercise.
Another behavior he has recently started is to stand at his kennel for hours, holding his toy bear in his mouth just waiting for someone to play with him. It's heartbreaking.
Hank is a GREAT dog with a lot of life to live! This big guy will make someone a wonderful companion and best friend. He's sweet, playful and loves cuddles. If you are looking for your one and only, Hank is your man! We are desperately hoping that someone will give this sweet young dog a chance at a new and happy life. He's been in rescue much too long.
