Hank's Story

Hank was a stray at a boat landing when brought into rescue. He could have been one of many hunting dogs who are lost or legally abandoned in SC.

Hank is wishing for a family that will be able to spoil him and maybe provide some kids to play with. He likes people of all ages and lives happily with several dogs in his foster home. He would make a good addition to most any family. His foster mom says he is "just a big baby" and loves his stuffy toys.

He loves his people, especially kids, and is confident and friendly in social settings. He ADORES other dogs! Hank hasn't been around many cats, but has such a docile personality, he could probably learn to be a respectful cat buddy with the right training. Hank would love a fenced yard to run out some of his hound-ness on a regular basis!

EST DOB Dec 2020

WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs.

If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name.

Adoption fee of $340 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue.

We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible.

Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

LowCountry Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have adoption events (location varies-see below) every Saturday from 1-4. Not all of the dogs attend so please email ahead of time if there is one in particular you would like to meet. Also, a pre-approved application is required in order to adopt from the event so please email for an application. We also try to adopt locally first (tricounty area). Out of area adoptions are a case by case basis. If you would like to adopt a dog under the age of three, you must have a current pet or a previous pet in the last 10 years. Cats under the age of 1 year also require a vet reference.
