Hank's Story

Meet Hank! At 1 year 4 months old, Hank is looking for his forever home. He is AKC registered and 100% GSD. From being a loyal companion, a great family dog, extremely smart and trainable, house broken, crate trained, and treat motivated; this good looking pup has it all! Hank is taller than the average GSD his age, and currently weighs 81 pounds. He is a bit on the thin side which is typical for an active young dog. He is expected to fill out as he matures and will likely be about 90 – 93 pounds when full grown.

Hank lives with four children with the youngest only a year old when he moved in. He is laid back and calm and seems to take meeting new people in stride. Hank’s human family has chickens, and he has learned to let them be. He has not lived with cats or other dogs, so we don’t know how he would be living with them. A neighbor has a dog and Hank has not shown any aggression or anxiety when he sees the dog, even though they haven’t met. He has shown interest in chasing an errant squirrel from time to time, but other rural critters are generally ignored.

Hank knows a few basic commands and will benefit from a refresher course. He loves to play yet is happy to quietly entertain himself. Hank walks well on a leash, with minimal pulling. Hank is being rehomed due to no fault of his own. He has been well cared for and it shows! Hank is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations.

If Hank sounds like your potential BFF, please submit an adoption application.
