Meet Hamlet aka Hammy Ham! He's currently being fostered in Bellingham along with a few other dogs. Hamlet is about three months old and weighs around thirty pounds. He's super sweet with a calm disposition. Loves everyone and had a blast at doggie daycare. Up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered and dewormed. Potty trained, sleeps in a crate and knows how to use a doggie door. Does great with dogs of all sizes. Has not met any kitties but would probably be fine. Application for adoption can be found on the rescue's website. We then follow up families about a time for everyone to meet. Poi Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
The first step is to send an inquiry expressing interest in a dog. You can do this right from the petfinder.com website. The foster family will respond confirming availability and the current location, as well as answering any questions you might have. The second step is to complete and submit a formal application. Within a few days of the application, you will be contacted to discuss the current status of the candidate dog. Following a successful conversation, a meet and greet between the adopting family and the candidate dog will be scheduled. Adopting families receive a starter kit with food, medications, and some items to help start a loving home. A donation is requested to the nonprofit via Paypal for each dog adopted to help cover costs of transport and foster.

We help rescue dogs of all ages and breeds from the Big Island of Hawaii. Our goal is to help ease the stresses of their overcrowded shelters. The dogs are relocated to Washington where we foster them and work very hard to find loving forever families.
