Hamilton's Story

Hey, I’m Hamilton — and I’m still holding out for my people.

I’m about 3 years old and every bit the husky you’d expect: I love to run, roll in the dirt, splash in water, and live life at full throttle. I’m not a couch-potato kind of guy — I’m built for movement, fresh air, and the freedom to really be a dog.

I’ve been with The Pittie Project PNW longer than most, and while huskies can take a little longer to find the right match, I’m still here patiently waiting for a family that truly fits me. Over the past year, I’ve gotten to live with space — acres to roam, room to explore, and a lifestyle that suits who I am — and I’ve absolutely thrived. Because of that, a large, secure fenced yard is a must for me. I’m not meant for city life or small spaces; I’m happiest when I have room to stretch my legs and enjoy the world.

One thing people are often surprised by? How well I settle. I’ve been crushing my crate training, relax beautifully, and know how to turn “on” and “off” when given structure. I’m confident, steady, and incredibly reliable.

What really makes me special is who I am around others. I’m one of the most bombproof dogs in the program — calm, thoughtful, and trustworthy. I’m phenomenal with kids and often used as a helper dog for nervous pups or when meeting new dogs. I have a way of making everyone around me feel safe, which is something not every dog can do.

We honestly can’t believe I’m still waiting. But we also know this: when the right active, dog-savvy family finds me — one that appreciates huskies for who they are and can give me the space and lifestyle I need — it’s going to be a perfect match.

If you’re looking for a loyal, steady, adventurous companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, I might just be your guy.

Think we could be a match?
www.thepittieprojectpnw.org/apply
