Halo's Story

At 7 years old, this sweet girl found herself in need of a new home after her beloved owner passed away. Through no fault of her own, she's looking for a second chance - and she has so much love left to give.

She's an affectionate, easy-going girl with a heart of gold and a wiggly enthusiasm that will remind you of everyone's favorite movie dog, Dug. ("I have just met you, and I love you!") She is eager to please and happy to be wherever you are, doing whatever you're doing.

She comes with some great basics already under her belt-she's potty and crate-trained, making the transition into your home a breeze. She is currently carrying a few extra pounds and will benefit from a family that can help her get active and slim down to her healthiest self.

She's doing well living with another dog in her foster home, but she has shown some signs of resource guarding around food and prized items. This is a very common and manageable behavior - she'll just need a family that's willing to set clear boundaries and provide some structure and space, especially around other dogs or children in the home. A little consistency goes a long way with a girl this eager to please!

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will greet you like you're the best thing that's ever happened to her (every single time), come meet this sweet girl. She's already proven she knows how to love her person with her whole heart - she's just ready to pick a new one.
