Gypsy's Story

Gypsy
Breed: Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog Age: 1 year
Gender: Female
Spayed: ✔
Vaccinated: ✔
Kids: ✔
Dogs: ✔
Cats: Lives with a cat indoors but will chase the neighborhood cats out of the yard when outdoors.
Chickens: 🚫
✨ About Gypsy: 🐾 Fully vetted 🐾 Completely housebroken & crate trained 🐾 Calm, gentle, and doesn’t jump 🐾 Still learning leash manners 🐾 Best suited for a quiet home — a retired couple would be perfect! This sweet girl was found as a stray and has been thriving in foster care for the past several months. When she first arrived, Gypsy was shy and nervous, but she’s come a long way and just needs a patient, loving family to help her continue building confidence. 💕 She is most happy and content being indoors in her bed. She does enjoy the outdoors in spurts but will quickly return to the door to come back inside. Gypsy is a homebody and prefers not to do much traveling. She won't be the type of dog to jump in the truck and go but she will keep you company at home. She will go on short walks although she is eager to get back home where she is most comfortable. Gypsy is not your typical high energy, demanding Heeler and is a farm dog flunkie with lots of love to offer. She does not know any commands or show any interest in toys. She is very well mannered inside and does not require being crated. She's doesn't offer to bother anything and hasn't had any accidents.

Gypsy is being fostered in Ky through a SPARKY Rescue volunteer! If you would like to adopt her please fill out an application at fots.petfinder.com

FOTS RESCUE's Adoption Policy
Potential adopters must fill out the online application first, no phone calls accepted until this process is complete. Adopters must have a fenced in backyard or rural acreage. We want to make our adoptions as easy as possible, as we want our dogs in homes and not living in kennels, but we also want to make sure our decision on their forever home will be a permanent, loving and safe environment. Rescue dogs have had disappointments already in their short lives and we want their 2nd chance to be our best choice.
