When meeting new dogs, she comes in hot with happy energy, think hugs, high-fives, and enthusiastic play. She does best with tolerant, playful large-breed companions who can handle her puppy antics and are equally happy to relax afterward. She would also be perfectly content as an only dog with plenty of attention and enrichment.<br/><br/>With her people, Gypsy is an absolute snuggle bug. She adores human attention, has a special soft spot for her foster dad, and considers couch cuddles a top-tier activity. She’s affectionate, goofy, and always ready to make you laugh.<br/><br/> What Gypsy Needs in a Forever Home:<br/>• A family willing to continue her training—she learns at her own pace and benefits from patience and structure<br/>• A playful dog sibling or a home where she can soak up all the love as an only dog<br/>• A cat-savvy home only—Gypsy thinks cats want to play, may chase if they run, and was deeply offended when a kitty once swatted her<br/>• Kids 15+, as she’s still very mouthy and full of puppy energy<br/>• A fully fenced yard for safe playtime<br/><br/>Gypsy has adjusted beautifully to crate life and does great once settled into a routine. Her favorite nightly ritual includes winding down with a stuffed Kong, and she loves Nylabones for chewing and relaxing.<br/><br/>** Gypsy does have a short history of seizures. She had one episode prior to rescue and has been seizure-free since starting medication, which she takes twice daily. She’s doing wonderfully and enjoying her best puppy life.**<br/><br/>Gypsy is truly a special girl who will thrive in a home that offers patience, consistency, and lots of love. Bluegrass Doberman Rescue's Adoption Policy
All of our dogs are currently in foster homes.  An application must be completed on our website (www.bluegrassdobermanrescue.org) to start the adoption process in order to adopt one of our dogs. All visits are by appointment.
