GUS (MILLIGAN)

GUS, formerly known as Milligan, is a 3 1/2 year old mixed breed surrendered back to CCHS. He was adopted in 2023 as a 10 month old pup, originally taken in as an injured, lost dog. Friendly and energetic, literally out of the gate, he was surprisingly a fairly good walker. While his congeniality is a favorable trait, Gus can be a bit gregarious when he introduces himself with his high five or paws on your hips! But he's a smart cookie who knows how to sit on command and stay, both with verbal commands and treats, when necessary. His happy playfulness is infectious and Gus will have you smiling, perhaps even in stitches as you watch him play with his treats. When possible, Gus bites his treat in half, spits it out then plays with it by juking and jiving in and out of downward dog poses. It's as if he's interacting with an imaginary playmate. Gus is sweet, attentive, athletic and good natured. His adoption fee has been sponsored. Gus is neutered, current on vaccinations, wormed, treated with monthly flea and heart worm preventive and microchipped. Adopted in 2023, he was returned on 8/29/25 through no fault of his own.
