Gus McGee's Story

Meet darling Gus: an approximately 2-year-old Corgi/German Shepherd mix. He may have applications in progress, but is currently available.

Gus is laid back, unless he's wanting belly rubs, in which case he's going to be glued to you. He's a perfect combination of loving and ok to go find a place to lie down for a few hours. Gus is a friendly guy and gets along great with his foster fur sisters. He plays well even when getting bullied by his sister that outweighs him by 40#. He has not met cats or children, but his foster thinks he would likely be fine given his laid back and wonderful personality.

Gus rarely barks and only joins in when his sisters are (going nuts) protecting the family home from the delivery guy (really, this is just a core dog skill!). He's in good health, plays with toys, and does well in his condo (4x4 play area w/ attached XL crate) while his foster is at work. He is a proud member of the 0 accidents club and sleeps through the night without issue. He's still on the needy side as far as attention goes, but we think that will diminish as his confidence grows. He has puppy dog eyes that will melt your heart and has been universally adored by everyone that's met him.

Adoption fee is $375 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.

STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
