Gunny

Gunny arrived in rescue with a severe foot injury that required extensive surgery and heal time. You can tell by the last picture that it has sealed wonderfully and he is definitely ready to find his forever home.<br/><br/>Gunny is your typical young German Shepherd dog. He's athletic, funny, brave, and one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He has a favorite toy which you can see in the pictures. He loves to carry it everywhere with him.<br/><br/>His current foster home has young children in it but we think that he would do best in a home with older children. He is good with other dogs and would definitely love a playmate who is active like he is. We have not tested him around cats or chickens so we are not recommending that.<br/><br/>A large french yard or the opportunity for lots of exercise and social enrichment is definitely preferred. As a young dog he also needs lots of reminders of his training. So a home that does not mind enforcing the rules is also a great thing.<br/><br/>If you have had German Shepherd dogs before and love the breed then gunny is the dog for you.<br/><br/>Gunny is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully healed from his traumatic injury with no emotional scars.
