Meet Gunner! <br/><br/>Gunner is a high-energy half coon hound, half shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. He's an early riser who thrives on consistency, daily exercise, and spending time outdoors enjoying nature. Gunner can tolerate short periods in a crate, but he truly does best when free roaming and included in daily life. He absolutely loves being pampered with a good massage and soaking up attention from his people. Treats are the way to his heart-especially peanut butter, steak, and chicken. Gunner will paw and bark to let you know when he needs to go outside, making him the best alarm you could ask for!<br/><br/>The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!

Adopting an animal is an important decision that will affect you, your household, and the animal for many years to come. Our primary goal is to place animals in a loving and forever home. We strive for the best possible match between you and your new pet. If you do not find the right animal on your first visit to our shelter, please return another day when new animals will be available for adoption. We include as much information as we know about an animal on their information card. We are here to help make a wonderful new addition to your family. Adoption Requirements • Must be 18 years of age or older (seniors 65 and over qualify for the Seniors for Seniors program) • Must have valid ID with current address • Must provide landlord’s name and phone number (or copy of current lease) • All members of the household should be present • You must understand that Berea Animal Rescue must approve your adoption application If this is your first visit, please follow this link, bit.ly/ARFWaiver, to provide us with your household’s information and sign our Animal Contact Waiver. Fees The shelter accepts cash or Mastercard, Visa, or Discover. *If paying in cash, please understand that volunteers are unable to make change. CAT ADOPTION INFORMATION Senior cats (7 years and older): $65.00 Cats (7 months – 6 years) – $100.00 Kittens (less than 7 months) – $140.00 Special breed pricing — $200 Cardboard carriers available – $5.00 *Certain animals may carry fees that are higher or lower than indicated here based on special circumstances.
