GUNNER's Story

Adoption Update: This dog is currently on a temporary 2-week hold due to a sick puppy in the kennel area. Please check back in 2 weeks. Meet this handsome 5-year-old Pit Bull! This sweet boy was surrendered to the shelter due to his owner moving, through no fault of his own. He’s a loyal, affectionate dog who bonds closely with his people and would thrive as the only animal in the home. He is crate trained, potty trained, and knows basic commands, giving him a great foundation for a smooth transition into a new home. He tends to feel more comfortable with men, but once he trusts you, he’s a devoted companion. He does need some work on leash walking and has some separation anxiety, so a patient adopter who can help him continue building confidence will be important. Because of his size and energy, he would do best in a home with older children. His absolute favorite toy is a big tennis ball, and playtime is a great way to bond with him! If you’re looking for a loyal, single-pet companion who just needs stability and love, this boy could be the perfect match. 50 lbs.
