GUNNER's Story

Meet Gunner

Gunner is a handsome, soulful boy with a warm tan coat and a striking white blaze on his chest that makes him truly stand out. At around 7 years old, he’s reached that wonderful stage of life where he’s past the puppy chaos but still has plenty of love and companionship to give.

Gunner came to us after the heartbreaking loss of his owner, and he’s ready to find a new home where he can feel safe, loved, and part of a family again. He’s already got some great manners under his belt—he knows how to “sit” and “shake,” and he’s always happy to show off for a treat or a kind word.

He would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he can relax and enjoy the outdoors at his own pace. Gunner is looking for a quieter household with kids 16 and up who can respect his gentle nature. He gets along fine with calm dogs but would likely be happiest soaking up all the attention as your one and only. As for cats, we’re not quite sure yet, so a careful introduction would be needed.

Gunner is the kind of dog who forms deep bonds and just wants to be by your side—whether that’s lounging at home, enjoying a peaceful yard, or sharing quiet moments together. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a loving heart, Gunner might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm. My adoption fee is SPONSORED!
