Gunnar CALM GENTLE W PERFECT MANNERS/THERAPY DOG POTENTIAL

Gunnar is a sweet, black lab, male who loves everyone he meets. . He would be the perfect addition to a family, first-time pet owner or senior. He weighs approximately 70 lbs and he stands at 1'11'' tall. He loves getting into our arms and snuggling. Gunnar is great with other dogs, rides well in the car, walks nicely on a leash, doesn't bark and is housebroken. A total perfect gentleman!! He will do well with appropriate older children, other dogs and/or cats. He was pulled from the euthanasia list in North Carolina in his absolute final hour. All the volunteers worked very hard to save this beautiful soul! This is a turn-key dog! Truly a gem! He is in foster care with a senior who easily handles and walks him daily. <br/>Gunnar runs right into his crate on command. He doesn't jump on people. He will hang out in the yard by himself or with a playmate without issue. He doesn't challenge a 3 foot fence. He doesn't dig holes. He doesn't do destructive chewing. He is easy-going and low-maintenance. He will happily run after a tennis ball and even let you take it out of is mouth. A very gentle mouth indeed! What else can we say to convince that Gunnar is the complete package? He is boarding with another dog and they get along famously. He also walks by cats and kittens a few times a day without any issue.<br/><br/>His coat has gorgeous shades of chocolate running through his black coat giving him an exotic and unique look.<br/><br/>Gunnar is heartworm negative,dewormed, treated for fleas, vaccinated and neutered.
