Gummy's Story

Hi- I'm Gummy! My mama, siblings and I were found on a remote farm- mama was trying hard to take care of all of us. A kind lady found us and started feeding us. Next thing we knew, the people at Guardians brought us to stay with them- we finally had a warm, safe place to sleep and plenty of food! And the volunteers and staff here are PAWSOME as well- they give us hugs and cuddle with us! Mama looked like a yorkie/terrier mix- we don't know anything about our daddy. We all look a little different, but have the same sweet personality that our mama does! We definitely appear like we are going to stay pretty small, too! My $450.00 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, deworming and microchip -all already done. It also includes my neuter when I get a little older at one of my rescue's vets in Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Naples or Orlando. Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue, Inc's Adoption Policy

1) Submit application 2) Application is reviewed for completeness and assigned to an adoption coordinator 3) Adoption coordinator verifies critical information on the application, contacts references and ensures that the requested animal is a good fit for the family 4) Adoption coordinator, in conjunction with rescue management, approves or denies application 5) Upon notification of approval, an adoption coordinator works with foster and adopter to set up an adoption appointment to bring your new family member home! We strive to work through adoption applications as soon as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so it can take a day or two to complete the review. This also depends on the response time of your references. Should you change your mind or adopt a different animal after submission, please inform us so we do not spend unnecessary time on your application.
