GUEST POST - Max's Story

Handsome Max Beagle here. I’m 2-1/2 years old and weigh 26.8 pounds. I am up to date on all my vaccines and am neutered and microchipped. I'm young so I need a lot of exercise - and enjoy walks, playing with other dogs, and playing in the yard. Like any youngster, I sometimes pull on the leash when walking, but there are so many exciting things to see and we beagles do like to do our sniffing. You will need to work with me a bit to get better so we don’t miss anything on our walks. I also love to go for car rides. AND, best of all, I have been trained to sit, sit-up, roll over, and stay. I am definitely treat motivated but I will sit and stay without them if you tell me to. Unfortunately, I'm not a good fit in a home with children because I have been known to get startled by children waking me up while sleeping. It would be best for me to be in a home with responsible adults who don't entertain children in their home.
