Groot's Story
Groot is a 2½-year-old Mastiff with a smidge of St. Bernard. He was recently returned after a non-contact issue with a child in the home. Although Groot has been exposed to all sorts of animals, he would do best with no cats and only female dogs. If there are children in the home, he would thrive with older kids who can respect his size and boundaries.

Groot recently completed obedience training, has had a DNA test, and does well with house training. He is a sweet boy who thrives on stability, routine, and the exercise a dog his age needs. Groot is a goofy guy who doesn’t realize his size and would absolutely love to be a lap dog. At 130 lbs, he may need gentle reminders that he is roughly the size of a small horse!

He responds well to correction, knows his commands, walks nicely on a leash, and is genuinely one of the best boys.

If you're interested in Groot or any of our other amazing animals here at CCHS, please fill out an adoption application either online or in person.
