He's also content to snuggle on the couch, watching TV by your side. His playful nature and loving personality make every moment with him feel like a gift.<br/><br/>Groot's previous family welcomed him into their home with dreams of him being a part of their family, alongside their cats and dog. Unfortunately, life took an unexpected turn when both of their fathers were diagnosed with cancer. With their time and energy devoted to caregiving, they found themselves unable to give Groot the attention he deserves. While he has shown some reactivity toward their pets, we believe he simply needs a patient and understanding person who can offer him the space and love he needs to thrive.<br/><br/>Currently at our rescue, Groot has shown himself to be fearful of new noises and sudden movements-likely a result of his past experiences. While loud noises and unexpected changes can still startle him, his desire to please is incredibly strong, and he works through his fears quickly. Groot has been cat-tested and shows no interest in them, making him an ideal companion for a household with cats.<br/><br/>In his time in Roatan, Groot thrived in an open pen with other dogs and was also cat-tested, showing no issues. He is a dog that needs a confident leader who can show him that the world is not as scary as it seems.<br/><br/>We're hopeful that Groot can find a forever home where he can flourish, surrounded by the love and patience he deserves.
