Grizz's Story
Meet Grizzly (aka “Grizz”)

Grizzly, lovingly known as Grizz, is a 5-month-old, 38lbs, Shepherd mix with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. Grizz is a smart and curious boy who enjoys learning and engaging with the world around him. He’s energetic, friendly, and incredibly sweet, always ready to play and make new friends—both human and canine. Grizz absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with another playful pup (or pups) who can match his enthusiasm and help burn off his puppy energy. Grizz also enjoys lounging on the couch or a dog bed (as evidenced by many of his photos), and shows his independence when he entertains himself with toys, so he doesn’t require constant attention like some puppies his age.

Despite his young age, he’s already shown remarkable resilience. He has undergone two open-chest surgeries to correct a congenital defect (persistent right aortic arch) and is doing well, but he still requires soft food with 4 small meals throughout the day. Because of this, Grizz is looking for a family who can accommodate his feeding schedule. In return, Grizz will reward his future family with endless affection, playful energy, and unwavering companionship.

If you’re looking for a loving, joyful puppy and can offer a little extra care, Grizz may be the perfect addition to your family.

If you live in DC/MD/VA and are interested in adopting Grizz, please visit our website and click the link to fill out our adoption application to start the process!
https://www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet

Due to the puppy's young age, adopter of this puppy will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered and include a spay/neuter fee at the time of adoption for a future spay/neuter with one of our affiliated veterinarians.

The puppy is up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. The adopter will need to arrange for the puppy's spay/neuter surgery for when the puppy turns 6 months of age.

If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet to learn more about our adoption process.
